Dermal Fillers

As we age, our facial skin progressively loses elasticity and starts to droop. This is due to changes within the deeper layers of the skin and degeneration of the bone and soft tissues which leads to flattening of the facial features. By adding volume, the former youthful facial fullness can be restored and enhanced lessening the signs of aging.

These smooth injectable fillers are made from a natural complex sugar called Hyaluronic acid which is naturally found in human skin. Hyaluronic acid assists in skin hydration by attracting and holding water.

Dermal fillers are produced in different thicknesses and particle sizes. The thicker the product, the deeper it is injected into the dermal layer of the skin helping to plump out deeper lines and wrinkles, such as nose to mouth lines and to build cheek contours. These deeper fillers can also be used to fill scars and other facial blemishes. Finer dermal fillers can be used to augment the lips and perioral area.
